For those of you who follow this blog, you may remember this and this where I visited Maureen in Wan Chai for some tasty noodles. Well, I hadn't been back since September, and boy have things changed. And boy, are they better!
Maureen's totally shaken things up. Of course there are still noodles, but now instead of 4 choices, there's a whole plethora of choices. Choices of sides, accompaniments, and even a new dessert. Check out the new menu:
Here's what blew my mind last night. Noodles Salmon Sous Vide Canto style with a side of Cherry Tomatoes in Special Marinade. Ok, so maybe I get the tomatoes every time, but it's only because they are that good.
What's different? Well, the salmon, for one, is brand new. It came out perfectly tender, boneless, flaky, and impeccably dressed with small slivers of ginger served over warm bok choy and a light sesame oil/balsamic sauce. I must say, I'm a sucker for sesame oil. Drool.
Next up, the noodles. Instead of being served in broth, they are now served dry with a side of broth. The same deliciously unctous noodles topped with a mushroom, radish, and micro greens that you can freely douse, or not, with rich flavorful pork broth. Wooweee, Maureen.
It's great to see these changes, and if you haven't, you should go in soon and see for yourself!
