Yesterday HOFWs joined a soft launch party thrown by the
AAMA (Asia America Multi-technology Association). Founded in 1979, formerly known as Asian
American Manufacturers Association, it is Silicon Valley’s largest and most
established non-profit organization dedicated to the Asia American high-tech
community.
Sean and Peter picking the Champagne lucky draw winners |
We were lucky enough to be asked to sponsor a wine tasting
during the two hour shindig. We presented
our wine and our lovely foods to very interesting and important people, such as
the chairman of the MTR!!! We were all well dressed. Lauren
and I had our heels, and Sean even wore a tie.
It was a very trendy and fancy event on the 27th
floor of the Club Lusitano in Central.
There were very nice foods such as melon and parma, salmon canapé,
veggie spicy samosas, and egg tarts! Lauren bestilled her love of the tarts
from my first day here, and I’m hooked.
Peter Panda, the Pandas, and Sean |
For the drinks, people tasted our wines (of course!) and
were each allowed one courtesy drink upon arrival (not ours).
